Salvation

"A" is for Admit:

The Bible says we must admit that we are sinners.

Romans 3:23 says: "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

By admitting that we are sinners, we're saying that we are sorry for our sins and we realize that we need God's forgiveness.

The Bible says we must also admit that we can't get to heaven on our own.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says: "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast."

"B" is for Believe:

The Bible says that we must believe that Jesus is God's Son and that He died on the cross so our sins could be forgiven.

John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

Believe that Jesus died for you.

Make John 3:16 personal by inserting your name for the words "world" and "whoever."

"C" is for Commit:

The Bible also says we must commit lives to Jesus as our Lord.

Romans 10:9 says: "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

This means that Jesus becomes the authority or boss of your life, and He has the most influence.

"D" is for Do It Now!

2 Corinthians 6:2 says: "today is the day of salvation"

"D" can also stand for "don't".  Don't put it off till tomorrow if He's talking to you today.

"E" is for Everyone:

Some people think they are too bad for God to love.  But the Bible tells us that His love is for everyone.

2 Peter 3:9 says: the Lord does not wish "for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."
